The Healing of Ivan Grytsak

It was in 1969. My leg ached and a swelling arose under the knee. My temperature rose to 38°C. I went to a traumatology department. I was brought to the hospital where I had an X-ray taken. It turned out that in my leg bone there was an abscess the size of a hen’s egg. I have been diagnosed with osteomyelitis. The doctors said that a serious operation was unavoidable. It was necessary to pierce a hole in the bone and remove the pus, as, otherwise, there would be severe pain when the pus would start seeping out itself. That was on Monday. On Tuesday, during the doctor’s round, he said that I had to be operated on the same day and notified a nurse to prepare me for the operation. But I declared that I was against the operation. The doctor then said: “Discharge him from the hospital to work; it is useless talk, tomorrow he will come again, as the abscess will not leave him alone!” Even though I was sick, I worked in the mine till the end of the week and went to the town of Kovel for the service of the Kovel Church. The service was at Ivan Dunaychuk’s house. There, I told believers about my illness. Maria Gochachko said: “Let God save you from the operation so you will not become a cripple”. She offered to pray to God for my healing. And then a miracle happened –God, through a single prayer, healed my leg! About 36 years have passed since then, and I haven’t even paid attention to whether there is an abscess in my leg or not. But with daring I witness that since that time my leg has never ached. I thank and praise the Lord God for this miracle and for many other miracles which He has performed in our Kovel Church for decades.

THE HEAVENLY X-RAY

On January 15, 2013, I had deep pain in my tooth. I did not sleep the whole night, my cheek was swollen, I could hardly speak. In the morning, on 16th January, I went to a dentist. After medical examination and X-ray exams I was diagnosed with closed fracture of acromial end of the right clavicle with rupture of tendons. The fracture was very difficult, therefore I was urgently sent to surgery to fix broken bones with metal spokes and repaired torn tendons. The doctor explained that if this operation would be ineffective, it would be necessary to operate again, selecting an appropriate bone graft (osteoplasty). And there was no guarantee that the functions of my hand would be restored...
