The testimony of Maria Nagornik

In May 1972, my daughter Natalia fell ill with a severe kidney disease: glomerulonephritis. She wasn’t even two years old. Her temperature rose high, her kidneys excreted almost only blood. I went to the hospital with her, and she was admitted to the hospital at once. Doctors started to treat her with antibiotics and other medications. They injected penicillin for ten days every 4 hours, prescribed scarce uroseptics (nephritic anti-infective medicine), but her condition worsened. After a few days of intensive treatment, she could take neither medications nor food any longer. They began to inject glucose intravenously into her. Her legs and face became swollen. Her kidneys completely failed to function and she stopped speaking. When she saw me weeping, she beckoned me with her hand to sit near her. While the appearances of anuria increased, the temperature rose higher, and her face and legs were very swollen. I appealed to the head of department to send Natalia to a scientific research institute in the city of Lviv. But she answered that they would not replace her kidneys in Lviv. Having said this, the doctors asserted that the death of my little daughter was inevitable. On Sunday morning, June 4, 1972, it became known that it was incorrect treatment which resulted in Natalia’s heavy uremic coma, from which only God could save her. Obviously she only had a few more days to live, or maybe only a few more hours. Thankfully, at the same time on Sunday, the pastor of the Kovel Church, Stepan Logvinsky, and the prophetess Maria Gochachko found out about Natalia’s illness. As soon as they had learned about the illness they prayed for Natalia’s healing. In the evening, my sick daughter fell asleep and didn’t wake up for a long time. That very same evening, the head of the pediatric clinic had the night shift. I came to her like to a good acquaintance and asked her not to transfer the child to any other place, but let her die here. But she did not want to have a death case in her ward, so she arranged Natalia’s transfer to an infectious disease ward. All night Natalia slept calmly, and on Monday, at 9 o’clock in the morning, I carried her, while she was still asleep, to the infectious disease ward and laid her on the bed. Soon she woke up and, having seen that a woman with a boy were eating potato pancakes with sour cream, she quickly sat on the bed, stretched out her hand and said: “Give!” It was the turning point, returning her from death to life. I was weeping for joy. At that time, I didn’t yet know that it was God’s healing. I did not know then that healings occur. Though she was prescribed a diet, we gave her different foods little by little. She hadn’t eaten for nearly 7 days. The same day she began to walk and became cheerful. After this, Natalia began getting stronger, not day by day, but hour by hour. Later, the doctors examined her thoroughly and were very much surprised that she was healthy. God had healed her!
