(Псалтирь 55:7-9)

The Healings of Vira Savluk and Her Mother

Vira Savluk

At first I want to tell you how God changed my destiny and made me happy in 1968. It happened when God healed my mother Maria Savluk. Then according to the Word of God, she became well instantly after one single prayer of His people. Before that time, my mother had been lying for several days as if she were dead – she didn’t react to anything, even to touches to her glazed eyes which were constantly open. Since that time, our family has believed, and we belong to the Kovel Church where God acted and is acting now. I witness about this with joy.

In 2000, I found a hazelnut-sized tumor in my left breast. Within about a year the tumor grew a little and looked as if it bifurcated. On May 3, 2001, a district doctor, having studied my tests after a medical examination, sent me to an oncologist. On May 5, 2001, I was diagnosed in the oncology department with bilateral  mastopathy (mixed type), left mammary gland fibroadenoma. With this diagnosis I was sent for a mammogram. After having studied the X-rays, two oncologists confirmed the previous diagnosis, and at once, on May 7, 2001, I was registered in the oncology registry of sick people; no one said anything comforting to me. I rejected surgical treatment. The doctor said: “What are you waiting for? Until it will climb out on your nose?” I answered “Let God save me from this!” I had no hope in my heart

that medicine would help me. That’s why I didn’t follow the prescribed treatment and didn’t take the recommended medicines.

Every month, I went for the oncology medical examination. During one of these visits a doctor shook his head and strictly said that it was obligatory for me to come and see him the next month. It was my last visit, because, though I came to the polyclinic a month later, I didn’t enter the oncologist’s consulting room. I couldn’t do it anymore. Many times I had seen a lot of women there who hopelessly, with tears in their eyes, were coming into the consulting room and went out even more mournful. Then the question arose: “What am I, a believer, doing here?” Because I had seen many times that only God gives relief and healings, I decided I would look for salvation from death only in God in Whom I believed. I stood near the door for a while and went home.

Time passed, and I remembered my disease in prayers, but, feeling no pain, I wasn’t earnest in prayers. At the end of 2003, I began to feel pain. In January 2004, anxiety filled my heart, as the tumor grew noticeably and ached very much (it throbbed like an abscess). Then I started to bring my need to God more diligently. The time came when I could no longer sleep calmly and couldn’t find a comfortable position in which I would feel no pain. Meanwhile the tumor had grown to the size of a hen’s egg. I couldn’t stop thinking “What will happen later?” I knew that if a sore opened, it would be mortally dangerous. And indeed, I began to feel the coming of something dreadful. I had the feeling that very soon the tumor would break out like a furuncle. I fasted for a week. Some time later, I fasted for one more week. I didn’t eat or drink anything until 6 p.m. daily. Though I didn’t notice any relief, nevertheless my faith in healing became stronger. Even through severe pain, I believed that God could heal me.

I will always remember the day of March 3, 2004. Finishing the service of God, God’s minister of our Kovel Church offered to pray for all the sick. Asking help from God, I knelt down. During that prayer THE POWER OF GOD came to me from the minister. The Power of God flew in like an arrow aimed exactly at where the tumor was. I felt a light touch from which the pain vanished in a moment. It happened at the very moment when the minister prayed for healing of all tumors and boils on the body. We all heard that prayer.

I came home and tore a page from the calendar to remember the day for myself. From March 3, 2004, till May of the same year the tumor vanished completely! Glory to God! He listens to His people’s prayers! He heard the prayer of His chosen minister and showed a sign – the momentary healing! I want to express it with the words from the Gospel: “Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday and today and for ever!” (Hebrews 13:8e). The words which the prophet Isaiah said, are fulfilled now in the same way as in the days of the Apostles: “He took upon Himself our infirmities and bore our diseases” (Matthew 8:17).

In the name of Jesus Christ, glory to the Great Almighty Holy God, Who works miracles in His people! Amen!

GOD SAID THE PHONE NUMBER

I caught on a cobblestone, fell and injured my shoulder. I could see my collar bone sticking up, my arm hung loose. I felt severe pain. I was taken to the hospital. After medical examination and X-ray exams I was diagnosed with closed fracture of acromial end of the right clavicle with rupture of tendons. The fracture was very difficult, therefore I was urgently sent to surgery to fix broken bones with metal spokes and repaired torn tendons. The doctor explained that if this operation would be ineffective, it would be necessary to operate again, selecting an appropriate bone graft (osteoplasty). And there was no guarantee that the functions of my hand would be restored...
