The Healing of Olga Logvinska – an Invalid of the 2nd Degree

Gratitude, honor and  glory to our God, Who has revealed His True Way to us, on which one not only can save himself from sins but also receive healing from different diseases. God does all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Glory to Him forever! Amen!

It is my heart's desire to praise God by telling you about the miracle which the Almighty God has worked in me. I fell ill at the time when I was at vocational school: I had intense heart pains, shortness of breath, pain in the joints, and my legs became swollen. I was examined in the regional cardioreumatological dispensary in the town of Lutsk. The diagnosis was: Rheumatism in the active phase, myocarditis, polyarthralgia, blood circulation insufficiency of the 2nd stage. Doctors recommended a surgery to replace the aortic valve in my heart, but I refused. I was granted group 2 disability status. I took a course of treatment many times, but my state of health worsened. Heart attacks became more frequent, my heart rhythm was not stable, breathing became hard. I suffered from edemas. Just then, when I first fell ill, God revealed to me that this disease was for my salvation, that means not with the purpose of me dying, but with the purpose of saving my soul through the disease. And really, those who earlier had been with me in hospital had already died. But everything is possible for God! Even the fact that such a hopelessly sick person as I could live till more than fifty years of age!

In the autumn of 2003, my health became much worse. My legs, my hands and joints ached severely. Many days and long sleepless nights passed which were very painful. I didn’t appeal to the ministers of our Kovel Church, but when it got extremely bad, all my body began to hurt, I told one of our ministers that my health condition had significantly worsened. The minister replied: “We pray for all who need healing.” Pray with faith to God in the name of Jesus Christ and you will receive the healing through our united prayer too.” I did not have a steadfast faith in the fact that God could heal me from my many diseases instantly. But God gave me the pleasant desire that God’s minister of our church pray personally for me. Through the prayers of this minister, many people were healed by God from different diseases. Thus, God instantly healed Vira Bardizh from gas gangrene. 

I was a witness to this healing. Gas gangrene had been developing after Vira had pierced her leg with a manure fork. Within a few hours, her leg had blackened and swelled up so much that it was shining like glass, and the swelling had spread higher and higher on her leg. It was a frightful, black and lethal billow. Vira groaned with severe pain, but God’s Angel Whom God’s minister saw in the vision of God during the prayer touched Vira’s leg and healed her from gas gangrene in a moment. 

Gas gangrene – necrotizing skin infection that begins in puncture wounds or lacerations, particularly wounds contaminated with dirt and debris. Symptoms usually begin suddenly and quickly worsen. The skin may look pale at first, but quickly becomes red or bronze and warm to the touch, and sometimes becomes swollen. Later, the skin turns violet, often with the development of large fluid-filled blisters (bullae). The fluid from these blisters is brown, watery, and sometimes foul smelling. Under low-oxygen (anaerobic) conditions, Clostridium produces toxins that cause tissue death and related symptoms. Areas of dead skin turn black (gangrene). If the condition is not treated, the person can develop a shock-like syndrome with decreased blood pressure (hypotension), kidney failure, coma, and finally death (Medical Encyclopedia).

The night from February 5 to 6, 2004, I didn’t sleep at all, as the state of my health worsened. I couldn’t find rest; I walked from the bed to the sofa and from the sofa to the bed in the hope that it would be better for me somewhere. Instead, it became worse and worse. Every bone ached. Finally, the morning came, but it didn’t bring relief either. Time hung heavy on me – the day passed in torment. Remembering all the miraculous healings from different diseases through the prayers of our church, even from cancer, and also the fact that our believing people pass into Eternity without pain and suffering, I appealed to one of God’s ministers of our church, hoping for God’s help which God gives to people through his prayers. On February 6, 2004, about 5 p.m. I phoned this minister. After having lifted the receiver, he immediately took the lead and asked about my health. I told him everything. God’s minister prayed for me in absentia and God healed me! Half an hour later, thanks to God’s mercy, I could move my hands and legs, and my joints ached no more! The diseases which had been tormenting me for many years had left me! I was healed! That’s why in honor of the anniversary of the day and time of my healing I decided to write this testimony about God’s miraculous deeds which He performs in His people. It is especially pleasant that God gave me more than I could even imagine. I asked for relief and received healing.
