The Healing of Anatoliy Gizs

In the name of Jesus Christ I witness how in the Kovel Church God healed me and saved me from certain death. On November 30, 2004, at about six a.m., I felt severe pain in the region of my left kidney and pancreas, an episode of acute pancreatitis was developing. Also a wave of pain broke over the back and the stomach. I felt worse and worse. On December 1, I had a bad stomachache. The doctors called this state of my health ‘acute abdomen’ and they told me that an urgent operation was unavoidable. Although I did not have a deep faith in healing, I resolved not to have the operation. On December 4, 2004, the state of my health became even worse. The severe pains took on a pulsating character and became so intense that I could not

find a comfortable place for myself, either on the sofa or on the floor. I was ‘freezing’. My sister Olga asked me: “And what now, are you feeling better?” I answered: “No, it’s even worse than it was; the pains are so severe, as if somebody was hammering on my kidney.” I turned and could not find a position in which I would feel better. Because of severe pain my temperature began to rise. My state of health worsened to such an extent that I began to lose my strength. I could utter only staccato words in a whisper. By telephone I asked God’s minister to pray for me. It was evident that death was near. 

In the evening, God’s minister of the Kovel Church came to see us at our house. He asked me whether I had faith in everything that is written in the Epistle of James 5:14-16 that would be done over me: “Is any sick among you, let him call to him the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he be one who has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power.” I answered that I had the faith and repented of my transgressions. The minister anointed me with oil in the name of the Lord, laid his right hand on my head and prayed over me. At that very moment God healed me in an instant! My high temperature decreased immediately. As it is written in the Gospel, “immediately the fever left”, and the pains stopped (Mark 1:31c). My sister Olga was happy about my healing. She told me that the sick look on my face had changed immediately after the prayer of the minister. She saw life and calmness in my eyes. The room where I was lying had become sanctified. Death had passed from it and instead the whole room was filled with peace and calmness. After the healing, I fell asleep and slept the whole night. The next day, I went to the Kovel Church service, rested and well. At the service I testified how miraculously God had healed me from these dreadful diseases the previous night. Glory to the Great God, acting with authority in His people, in the same way as Jesus Christ predetermined and predicted it concerning those who have believed in the Gospel of Mark  16:15-18: “And He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to all creation [all people]. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves shall be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those that have believed: in My name will they cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up snakes, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no wise hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Amen!
