THE BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT

I want to share my joy: God has healed me from glaucoma through the prayer with the anointing with oil in the name of the Lord. After one single prayer of God’s minister, my unbearable headaches were stopped, a sharp pain inside my eye was gone, the pain was like a toothache before that ... 

Glory to You, merciful God, for Your notable miracle which You did!

The headache in the forehead region started disturbing me for a year. I had sandy-gritty sensation in my eyes. I noticed that it is better for me to sleep with a high position of the head. I felt as if something prevents me from seeing lately; my hand involuntarily reached up to push a strand of hair out of my left eye which was not there; or I opened my eyes wider than normal when I wanted to look at something attentively. My relatives began to notice it. At that time I had no idea that I was going blind in one eye. On December 16, 2012, during a regular attack of severe headache, I felt the especially sharp pain in my left eye. I tried to look at my sister with my left eye who was sitting at the table, and I was seized with despair, I anxiously said, “I can’t see you.” I saw her like a shadow of a man in front of the window. And in the evening, when I turned the lights on and looked at a chandelier with my sick eye, I saw only the light spot and a very heavy fog around it: I couldn’t see either contours of light bulb or chandelier. It was a tragedy for me. I couldn’t stop thinking, “What if the same thing will happen with my second eye?...” I wanted to know in detail what the medical literature says about eye diseases, what disease includes similar symptoms such as I had. And I found not comforting information for me: acute pains in the affected eye area, headache attacks, they may include vomiting, dizziness and catastrophic visual loss – all these things became reality in my life and called glaucoma. Guidelines for glaucoma are to sleep with a high position of the head, to refrain from strenuous physical activities – this practical conclusion was made by me without reading special literature and I had to do all these things.

Glaucoma is a dangerous eye disease that affects the optic nerve and leads to vision loss due to increased intraocular pressure. Blindness caused by glaucoma is irreversible, because the nerve cells in the front of the optic nerve (the ganglion cells) die. If the high eye pressure is not reduced within a few hours after the attack, it can cause permanent vision loss. Eyesight deteriorates rapidly and may be lost completely within a few days or even hours. Unless glaucoma is treated quickly, permanent loss of vision or even total blindness can result. Usually, glaucoma affects both eyes and the speed of progression of the disease may not be the same in both eyes. Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness in the world (Medical Encyclopedia).

It was beyond my strength to master these sufferings and pains. Having good examples of many of God's healings, on December 30, 2012 I decided to tell one of the ministers of our church about my problem. I had only one desire: to come to the Living God with my problem. I asked to pray for me, while tears were streaming down my face. I saw that the minister moved with compassion toward me, he took my problem as his own problem, supported and advised me not to fall into embarrassment and doubt. My disease grew progressively. I constantly felt the sharp pain in my left eye. During three days, on 1st, 2nd and 3rd January, 2013, I was fasting without telling anyone about it i.e. I didn’t eat or drink anything until 6 p.m. daily and I begged God with tears to forgive me where I have broken His will both voluntary and involuntary, to strengthen my faith and to heal me. 

And in the evening, on January 3, 2013, the minister of our Kovel Church came to our house according to the commandment of God. At first there was a short talk about my spiritual state. Then he offered to pray God to forgive me for my every guilt. During the prayer through the minister God said me, “This is My will to give you the help ... I do not do so how you think ...” The Lord opened all my embarrassments and doubts. There was one more prayer after the talk. Before the prayer the minister asked me whether I believe in the ministry of prayer with anointing with oil that is written in the 5th chapter of the Epistle of Saint James the Apostle. I replied, “I believe.” God’s minister made the prayer with anointing with oil in the name of the Lord. During the prayer I was kneeling and he with his right hand anointed my head with oil. After anointing with oil, the prayer continued and his hand laid on my head till the end of the prayer. It was a very powerful prayer! In this prayer, I felt the presence of God Himself and told Him with awe everything what I wanted.

Now I can’t remember about it without tears. At the end of the prayer God put the new Spiritual Song in Other Tongues in the mouth of the minister, at the same time the power of God filled me, too. We together with the minister were singing the Spiritual Song in Other Tongues which God has given us. The miracle happened! At the same time, with His hand God took my diseases, and pleasant warmth remained in my left eye that I felt for a long time.

Glory to You, God Almighty, gratitude to You the One God for the ministry of anointing with oil that is given to us – the people! The Lord does not change, He is the Same yesterday and today and for ever. As it is written in the Epistle of James the order of the prayer for the healing of the sick: “Is any sick among you, let him call to him the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he be one who has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power”, just as all these things are performed nowadays, too! After this ministry I became to feel so ease – absolutely no pain and such nice, tender feelings of love to God, and such happiness – God healed me, and that means He forgave my transgressions, too.

Since then there were no pain attacks, now I can read easily. For example, with one left eye I can read a text in my Gospel, the size of the Gospel is 5.2 x 3.6 inches (13 x 9 cm) that is lying before me now. Its printing height is about 0.04 inch (1 mm). Until today, 14th January, 2013, I could only dream about this before the healing.

I thank God for His mercy and healing.

Help me, merciful God, that I may glorify You as You are worthy! Amen.
