HEALING FROM TOTAL DEAFNESS

Christa N. lives in Germany, she is 75 years old. At the age of 30 she got problems with her hearing. Otosclerosis developed.

Otosclerosis is an abnormal, microscopic growth of bone in the walls of the inner ear which causes the stapes bone commonly called the "stirrup" to become frozen in place or "fixed". This growth prevents the ear bones from vibrating in response to sound waves and causes hearing loss. Otosclerosis affects the function of the central auditory nervous system. Otosclerosis usually causes a conductive hearing loss, a hearing loss caused by a problem in the outer or middle ear. Less frequently, otosclerosis may cause a sensorineural hearing loss (damaged sensory cells and/or nerve fibers of the inner ear), as well as a conductive hearing loss. This usually will begin in one ear but will eventually affect both ears with a variable course. In addition to hearing loss, some people with otosclerosis may experience dizziness, balance problems, memory problems, insomnia or tinnitus. Tinnitus is a sensation of ringing, roaring, buzzing, or hissing in the ears or head that accompanies many forms of hearing loss (Medical Encyclopedia).

The hearing of Christa worsened to such an extent, that she had to use a hearing aid. She had four operations, but none of them was successful. At the age of 40 she had her first operation on the right ear, later two operations on the left ear. In 2005 she had the fourth operation, again on the right ear, as a result of which she had complete hearing loss. Before the operation doctors had told her, they would just have a look inside her ear, but the operation lasted 5 hours under general anaesthesia, from which she came round with great difficulties. After she had regained consciousness, she was completely deaf and had noises in her ears. Christa was forced to communicate with other people by help of notes, letters and fax.

After having read the book about God's Way and about God's miracles and healings “THESE SIGNS ACCOMPANY THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL!”, Christa got in touch with the Kovel Church to ask them to pray for her. Here are some sentences from her letters written in German:

“ … After I had had an operation 8 years ago, I was completely deaf. Since then I have terrible sounds and noises in my ears which have even become worse. I cannot sleep at night. My nerves are highly irritable, I have a headache, I have a flickering in my eyes, I can walk only unsteadily. I have to carry this burden every day …”

“I just received your fax. I want to inform you that I will join your Sunday prayers again. I thank you and the Kovel Church for your prayers. With best wishes, your sister in the Lord, Christa.”

“Today, on Sunday, I will further call unto my Lord Jesus, at the same time with you and I will pray till I will get the healing. I ask you to pray for me. With best wishes. Christa.”

And then, on August 20, 2014, Christa thanked the Lord God for her miraculous healing from complete hearing loss after the prayers of the Kovel Church:
“Dear brother!
I was healed! Hallelujah!
Jesus redeemed me!
Jesus delivered me!
Jesus healed me!
I ask you, that the brothers no longer pray because of my deafness.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Thanks to all who called unto the Lord.
“Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. I would declare and speak, but they are multiplied above number. Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; my ears You have opened ...” (Psalm 40:5-6) With best wishes. Your Christa.”

So the words of Jesus Christ are fulfilled: „… The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up ...“ (Matthew 11:5).
