GOD HEALED THE DAMAGED BRAIN

On October 24, 2012 the disaster happened with my son Victor who lives in Russia, – he was attacked and severely beaten in the head in his apartment. He was wheeled into ICU's (Intensive Care Unit) Trauma Center in critical condition, unconscious and bleeding from his head. The examination showed that his skull was cracked in three places and the brain matter was injured. Injuries were incompatible with life. He had emergency surgery – craniotomy, the brain was cleared from the skull splinters and hematomas. After the surgery, my son was in deep coma.

Artificial support systems maintained his respiratory function, the body temperature rose to 41°C and no medication could lower it. 

He was diagnosed with terrible diagnosis:  

• Penetrating (open) traumatic brain injury  
• Severe brain contusion  
• Massive parenchymal subarachnoid hemorrhage  
• Open multi-fragment depressed fracture of the parietal, temporal bones on the right, damaged brain matter  
• Contused wound of the right parietal region  – Facial soft tissue contusions  – Secondary purulent meningitis.

Only a week later I was informed about the incident after it took place. Doctors appraised my son’s condition as critical and didn’t want to make any prognoses. I realized they just didn’t want to deprive me of hope while the doctors didn’t have any hope. Because the doctor said, “What do you want? A half of his brain flew out.” After eleven days of treatment, my son didn’t regain consciousness, no one could visit him. 

I knew that through the prayers of the Kovel Church God heals from different incurable diseases. Every Sunday the Church fasts and prays for all those who are in need of God's help. So, I was in deep grief and appealed to God’s minister of the Kovel Church, weeping, told him about my disaster and asked him that the Kovel Church would pray for my only son, for whom there was no hope to survive. 

During the prayer, God gave the vision to the minister of the Kovel Church and there was the prophetic explanation of this vision, so I knew that Victor would live. But only one thing was necessary – we should often earnestly pray. We did so. On Sunday, November 4, at the service of the Kovel Church prayers were made for my son. I and my relatives joined the prayers of the Kovel Church, we were also fasting that day. And God, according to His mercy, has performed a miracle – my son Victor came out of a coma on the same day, on November 4! The body temperature became normal. The state of his health got better from day to day. He was transferred from intensive care into a general ward. At that time he had not spoken yet, because he still had tubes down his throat to breathe, in his nose to eat. The purulent discharge from wounds on his head became much decreased in quantity. He was given a pen to write his name and he wrote it. Victor recognized all the people he ever knew; he began to feel pain in his paralyzed left leg and arm. The doctor said, “The feeling of pain gives hope that his arms and legs will function.” But suddenly sutures on his head disrupted: probably, stitching up his head, a surgeon didn’t hope that Victor can survive and that’s why the sutures were stitched not well enough. His recovery continued, the tubes from his nose and throat were removed, after that he began to eat himself and to talk. He began to move his paralyzed leg. The doctors were surprising that Victor was getting better so quickly (there were patients with less severe injuries in the same ward, but they weren’t noted significant improvements). Now he is at home, and he already walks! 

Glory to God for He performed the miracle for my son through the prayers of the Kovel Church – God gave life to my son! I and my son thank the Great God the Father and the Son of God Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for His marvellous deeds and great mercy, and for such people whose prayers God listens to!
